Through the Woodland Sports Team at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
When did you begin participating/competing in STIHL TIMBERSPORTS®?
I competed in my first STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Collegiate Qualifier in 2016.
How do you train for STIHL TIMBERSPORTS®?
Mainly event training 3-4 days a week when time allows but I do a lot of mental training which includes watching countless hours of great TIMBERSPORTS® athletes and watching their techniques in hopes of bettering my own.
What’s your best/strongest STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® discipline?
My strongest event would be the underhand chop since it is the event I have been training the longest but the Single buck is a close second.
Any advice for collegiate competitors?
Do not be afraid to travel to competitions or reach out to seasoned athletes to train with or for helpful hints.
What’s your proudest moment in the sport?
My proudest moment would have to be winning the U.S. Collegiate Championship in front of my close family and friends in my home state, while also getting the chance to compete for a world title in front of them at the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Rookie World Championship.
